Honeybee: Primarily distinguished by the production and storage of honey and the construction of perennial, colonial nests from wax. They are easy to distinguish from native bees by their coloring, which is golden brown with black abdominal stripes. Currently, only seven species of honey bee are recognized, with a total of 44 subspecies i. e.:
• Borneo (A. koschevnikovi)
• Western (A. cerana)
• Eastern (A. Mellifera)
o A. m. adami
o A. m. caucasia
Bumblebee : These bees are a little larger than honeybees and have a black body covered with dense yellow and black hair. Bumblebees also have hair on their abdomen and carpenter bees don't. Bumblebees get their name from the noise they create when they get into a flower. They make the noise by moving around inside the flower so fast that they literally sonicate the pollen off the flower and onto the hairs on their body. The genus Bombus comprises over 250 species i.e.
• Bombus atratus
• Bombus dahlbomii
• Bombus fervidus
